While my primary research focuses on gender and politics in the Global South, I am eager to support students with a wide range of interests. I view the adviser/advisee relationship as a partnership that requires regular reflection from both parties.
Effective advising is a skill learned over time through deliberate practice. In line with this idea, I have completed formal coursework through the CIRTL Network to develop my skills as a research mentor.
